YOUNG PEOPLE'S COURSE

Ages 6 to 18 ** (Please see below). Sessions are weekly for 90 minutes per session. (Total fee £40 per month)

All work is based on what is needed to undertake a professional T.V. / film / theatre casting and actual work: script work, improvisation, camera work, taking direction, studio discipline and so on. The work is fun and creative but with one eye on ongoing professional casting. In the lead up to intakes for drama schools we work one-to-one on audition pieces (contemporary and Shakespeare).

Every set of sessions will automatically lead to an onstage performance, either of a specially created text or published outstanding play. Our previous performances have taken place at the award winning Hope Mill Theatre.

The ethos is one of high-energy, fun, but achievement without a feeling of competitive pressure.

Agents and casting directors are invited to both the sessions and productions.

For all applicants the first session(s) will be free until the right working group is found.

**Age 6 to 18: the age of 18 for the top age bracket group is variable; some young people are better going into the adult course at or below that age. Some over eighteens are better taking part in the large-scale productions of the top-teens groups. Age is not the important issue in the business: it's how you look and handle that is important.
